The Last Sunday Showcase, Dublin

Leslie is appearing as the special guest performer at the "The Last Sunday Showcase" on October 26th at the Holiday Inn.  The showcase is designed to allow unsigned acts the opportunity to share the stage with well established artists such as Leslie.  The Holiday Inn Dublin City Centre is the home of The Last Sunday Showcase a unique gig that happens the last Sunday of every month in association with IMRO features the very best of up & coming songwriters performing their own songs.  The acts performing on the night are Tania Nally, SJ McArdle and Pat Ambrose and Brian McGowan.  

Blackstairs Blues, Enniscorthy

Leslie is appearing in concert to kick off the festivities at this popular blues festival in the south east.  Appearing for one night only and singing her favourite blues songs from artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Eta James, this is set to be a stunning opener to another great festival.  Details can be found at www.blackstairsblues.com or e-mail enquiry@blackstairsblues.com

30 Best Irish Hits (Vol 2)

The In Tua Nua track "Somebody to Love" is featured on Tom Dunne's '30 Best Irish Hits, Vol 2". Leslie took part in the Tom Dunnes Best of 80's Concert in the Olympia on the 22nd December.

Lotto Adverts

The National Lottery adverts are currently being re-aired on Irish TV Channels, two sixty second ads showing the benefits lottery funding can convey. Many will recognise the music to the adverts which is Leslie's most famous first single 'Wonderful Thing'.

In the studio again?

Leslie was asked by Van Morrison to lay some vocals on his forthcoming album, as yet untitled.

Other collaborations

Leslie is planning to continue her association with Mary Ronayne-Keane with the possibility of further touring with the staged The Flight of the Earls. This production is a musical depiction of the life of Hugh O'Neill, the last true High King of Ireland. Written and composed by Mary Ronayne-Keane, Leslie Dowdall is the featured vocalist. Other cast members include Martina Carroll, Conor Dwane and David Peare, also featuring The Barrymore Singers. "..I needed someone very special to lead the Barrymore Singers.
